Research Institute Overview
Research Institute for Semiconductor Engineering (RISE) consists of three divisions: Semiconductor Strategic Research, Nano-Device Research, and Interdisciplinary Research, along with the Research Support and Facilities Operation Office. The institute promotes cutting-edge research and human resource development through the MEXT Research Center for Biomedical Engineering (RCBE) and the MEXT Initiative to Establish Next-generation Novel Integrated Circuits Centers (X-NICS). The institute also supports researchers via the Advanced Research Infrastructure for Materials and Nanotechnology (ARIM), offering access to clean room facilities at Â鶹AV. The Setouchi Semiconductor Consortium also focuses on developing students and professionals through industry-government-academia collaboration.
