TSUOS was established in 1918 as the first higher education institution specializing in Oriental studies in Central Asia. It is one of the region's leading national universities, producing many talented individuals who have gone on to serve as ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary for Uzbekistan in key countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan.
HU has previously signed one inter-university and one inter-department international exchange agreement with higher education institutions in Uzbekistan. Currently, five students from Uzbekistan are studying at HU. The signing of this new agreement with TSUOS is expected to further promote exchange with universities and research institutions in Uzbekistan.
