On May 5, 2017, Â鶹AV concluded an inter-university agreement with the Medical University of Vienna, Austria. HU president Mitsuo Ochi visited the University and signed the agreement together with Univ.-Prof. Dr. Markus M¨¹ller, President of the Medical University of Vienna.
The Medical University of Vienna is the successor to the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Vienna, founded in 1365, and has attained a high reputation as one of the leading medical universities in Europe.
Prof. Siegfried Kasper of the Medical University of Vienna and Prof. Shigeto Yamawaki (Special Appointment) of HU have a long history of academic exchange in the field of psychiatric medicine, a fact which prompted the two universities to conclude this inter-university agreement. It is expected that this agreement will help to further exchange between the two universities.
