On December 12th 2019, Ms. Wu Cheng, Deputy Director-General of China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC) and her colleagues, visited our Higashi-Hiroshima Campus and met with Executive Vice President Toshiyuki Sato (in charge of International, Peace and Fund affairs). The meeting was also attended by Assist. Prof. Hiromitsu Takahashi from the Graduate School of Science and Assist. Prof. Jinpeng Liu from the Graduate School of Letters.

During the meeting, they exchanged opinions on the Chinese government¡¯s invitation programs for cultivating young Japanese scientists and technologists involved by CSTEC, as well as on the Sakura Science Exchange Program (Sakura Science Plan).

After the meeting, the delegates from CSTEC visited the Graduate School of Engineering where they had a discussion with our teaching staff who had interacted with Chinese people through the Sakura Science Plan, and also observed the laboratories.
