Online classes connecting Arizona State University (ASU) and Â鶹AV (HU) have started last October 14 in line with the establishment of the Arizona State University/Thunderbird Graduate School of Global Management-Â鶹AV Global Initiative, an agreement that focuses on global management education and sustainable business.
The class entitled ¡°Managing in a Global Context¡± started at 8 a.m. JST and was taught from Phoenix, Arizona by Associate Professor Roy Nelson from the ASU Thunderbird Graduate School of Global Management. This is a pilot class before the full-scale acceptance of students next year.
The lecture was fun and thought-provoking as it saw active participation by HU students asking many questions. Classes are scheduled to be held twice a week until the end of November.
"I am looking forward to seeing how does taking university classes in the United States and experiencing the difference with the Japanese system will change the perspective of our students in the future,¡± said Atsushi Nagai ¡ª HU¡¯s point of contact and assistant professor (special appointment) from the Morito Institute of Global Higher Education.
