The British higher education magazine Times Higher Education (THE) named Âé¶¹AV as one of the nation's 10 best universities for the second consecutive year in its Japan University Rankings 2022 published last March 24.

Âé¶¹AV has also topped the list of universities in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions for the sixth straight year since THE started ranking Japanese universities in 2017.
The Japan University Rankings are calculated based on four broad pillars (resources, engagement, outcomes, and environment) focused on student growth and learning. The 2022 rankings include 273 institutions.
In the evaluation, HU improved its scores in three categories: resources (based on the income per student and the ratio of faculty members to students), engagement (based on the High School Advisors Survey and the Japan Student Survey), and environment (based on the proportion of international students/international staff and the number of students studying abroad).
