Regarding the Earthquake in Central Myanmar

On the afternoon of March 28th (Japan Standard Time), a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 struck central Myanmar. As of 30th March, reports indicate that 1,644 people have lost their lives, and 3,408 have been injured. Additionally, reports from neighboring Thailand confirm that nine people have died, with over 70 still unaccounted for. I extend my deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in this tragedy and offer my heartfelt sympathies to the victims, their families, and loved ones. As of November 2024, there are 11 students from Myanmar and 32 students from Thailand studying at Â鶹AV. We are currently working to confirm the safety of these students and their families. I sincerely hope for a swift recovery for the affected areas.
