Online workshop ¡±Key Points in Final Revision before Paper Submission: Insights from a Peer Reviewer¡±

The Writing Center invites HU researchers and graduate students to the Online workshop ¡±Key Points in Final Revision before Paper Submission: Insights from a Peer Reviewer¡±.

This online workshop will share insights and advice from an experienced peer reviewer in Arts and Humanities to assist researchers to effectively revise manuscripts before the journal/book submission or re-submission. This online workshop includes a video and an online follow-up interactive session. The video will provide insights about foci in the double-blind peer review process, such as what Introduction is considered as ¡°providing sufficient background information¡±, what Method is considered as ¡°clearly explaining the validity of the research method¡±, what manuscript organization is considered as ¡°a good flow¡± and other key aspects that a peer reviewer will assess. The follow-up interactive session will focus on the discussion and advice for (i) understanding reviewers¡¯ comments and (ii) preparing and writing the Response to Reviewers. You are welcome to bring in your on-going manuscripts, your previous manuscripts and/or reviewers¡¯ comments you have received previously into the interactive session for discussion.
