[Report] WCAJ 14th Symposium “What is a Writing Center”

　　We, tutors from the HU Writing Center, participated in WCAJ 14th Symposium “What is a Writing Center” on February 15th at Higashi-Senda Innovative Research Center.
　 Hugo Gabriel De Souza Leao Machado, English tutor, gave an oral presentation titled ”Training Program for English Writing Tutors at a Writing Center at a Japanese National University”, and Yuzu Nakamori, Tomonari Watanabe and Naho Tokitsu, Japanese tutors, gave an oral presentation titled ?書き手を育てるアプローチ方法の分析―セッション記録とチューターへのインタビューをもとに―?( “An Analysis of Approaches to Develop Independent Writers: Based on Session Records and Interviews with Tutors ). We introduced the tutor training program and the session approaches at the HU Writing Center.
　We received suggestive comments from the participants and learned a lot from them. We would like to apply what we learned at the symposium to tutors’ activities!
