Research Outline
My focus is on American literature, especially the work of Nobel Prize-winning writer William Faulkner. As a thesis mentor, I mainly provide guidance to students who are pursuing studies of Southern writers such as Faulkner, Mark Twain, Toni Morrison, as well as 19th-century American writers like Herman Melville, Edgar Allan Poe, and Henry James.
