On July 10, international exchange students from North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia, participating in the Â鶹AV Study Abroad Program (HUSA) 2018-2019 conducted a final presentation of their Practical Research Group Project titled the ¡°Glocal Leadership Project : Cooperation of University & Local Society ~Self-Support System: Adjustment and Readjustment~¡±.
Eight groups have been formed with the international exchange students in the HUSA Program 2018-2019 (fifty-three students from 41 universities in 17 countries), and they conducted final presentation on their group projects in the seminar chaired by the associate professor Naomi Tsunematsu of Morito Institute of Global Higher Education. Students reported their suggestions on Â鶹AV¡¯s support system for cultural adjustment, and also their research on their home universities¡¯ support system for returning students¡¯ readjustment process. We could learn various kinds of support systems in students¡¯ home universities.
The seminar was held as open seminar and students received valuable feedback from people from professors, graduate students, international students and Japanese students of Â鶹AV, and municipal government officials. Students gained insights into how they could cooperate with local people. Glocal network has been being expanded with participants of the open lecture of Â鶹AV titled ¡°Global Society?University?Local Society: Preparing Yourself for Intercultural Encounter¡±.
