世界はどのような未来を构筑しなければいけないのでしょうか。
広岛大学は2021年1月26日、地元の东広岛市、住友商事株式会社の3者による「包括的な连携推进に関する协定」を缔结したのに併せ、2030年を目标とする「カーボンニュートラル×スマートキャンパス5.0宣言」を行いました。カーボンニュートラル宣言は、大学はもとより学校としては国内で初めての取り组みです。
政府が目指す2050年カーボンニュートラルに向け、グリーン社会を実现するための最先端技术の开発や実用化、先行的な脱炭素地域の创出などが求められています。研究や教育、国际展开を通じて脱炭素社会の実现を目指す広岛大学の姿势を明确にすることで、国内外の自治体や公司を巻き込みながら、世界の中で本学の価値を高めていきたいと考えています。
当日、小泉进次郎环境大臣から「広岛大学が真っ先に取り组みを始めた思いが日本中、世界中で共有されるよう全力を尽くしてまいります。広岛大学の学生さん一人一人から、若い世代ならではの脱炭素に関するアイデアや行动も大いに期待しています。共に、がんばりましょう」という热いエールをいただきました。
东京ドーム53个分に当たる広さ约250丑补の东広岛キャンパスは、标高200～340ｍの丘陵地に位置しています。70种类以上の絶灭危惧动植物（2021年现在）の生息が确认されるなど、国内屈指の豊かな自然を夸っています。
宣言に基づき、広岛大学は2030年までに、通勤?通学を含めた学内の温暖化ガス排出量を実质ゼロにするカーボンニュートラルを実现したいと思います。スマートキャンパス5.0の第一歩として、自动运転シャトルの学内运行実験も开始しました。
広岛大学は日本の、そして世界の未来を考え続け、チャレンジし続けています。
What kind of world should we be aiming for?
On 26th January 2021, three organizations---HU, Higashi-Hiroshima city, and Sumitomo Corporation---concluded a ‘Comprehensive Agreement on Promoting Mutual Collaboration’. Following that, HU made ‘A Declaration to become Carbon Neutral x Smart Campus 5.0’ by 2030. HU is the first secondary or tertiary educational institution in Japan to declare carbon neutrality.
In order to achieve the Japanese government’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality in a green society by 2050, the development of state-of-the-art technology and futuristic decarbonized towns/cities is essential. To move towards enhancing HU’s international presence and value, I would like to make HU’s ecological stance---that of being committed to the realization of a decarbonized world through research & education and international collaboration---clear and visible. This process will enable HU to involve as many domestic/overseas municipalities and companies as possible.
On the day of HU’s declaration, Shinjiro Koizumi, Japan’s Minister of the Environment, kindly sent HU an impassioned message: ‘As Minister, I will do my best to inform Japan and the rest of the world about HU’s thoughts on carbon neutrality in Japan. I am very much hoping for inspired and enthusiastic input from the younger generation, specifically each and every HU student, regarding ideas and actions for decarbonization. Let’s work together towards this goal!’
The 250-hectare area of HU’s Higashi-Hiroshima Campus---equivalent to 53 Tokyo Domes---comprises hilly terrain at an altitude of between 200m and 340m. The Campus is one of the leading university campuses in the whole of Japan, blessed with an abundance of nature, and as of 2021, more than 70 endangered species were confirmed in the area.
With the Declaration in place, I would like HU to achieve carbon neutrality by offsetting the emission of carbon gases on HU campuses---including emissions generated by HU members while commuting---to zero in real terms. As the first step for realizing a Smart Campus 5.0, HU has started the test driving of auto-navigating shuttles on campus.
HU is committed to thinking about the future of Japan and the world and is attempting to overcome challenges into the future.
