広岛大学は毎年、优れた教育活动に取り组んでいる个人?団体に「ペスタロッチー教育赏」を赠っています。
ペスタロッチーは18世纪スイスの教育家?思想家で、孤児や贫しい子どもたちに寄り添い、子どもたちと生活を共にする実践を行いました。ペスタロッチーの精神に通じる优れた教育実践に光を当て、现代の教育を见つめ直すきっかけにしようと、1992年にペスタロッチーの名を冠した教育赏を创设いたしました。これまでに宫城まり子さん、山田洋次监督、黒柳彻子さん、渡辺和子さんを含め多くの方々が受赏されました。
ちょうど30回に当たる2022年は、歌手の惭滨厂滨础さんに赠呈しました。惭滨厂滨础さんは2021年の东京オリンピック开会式で国歌独唱をされるなど、日本を代表する歌手です。その一方、2007年に初めてケニアを访れて以来、15年间にわたってアフリカ7カ国でスラムや难民キャンプの学校に通う子どもたちへの教材や学费の支援に取り组んでこられました。まさに本赏の趣旨にふさわしい実践であると思います。
8月31日に本学のサタケメモリアルホールと东京の会场をオンラインで结んで表彰式と记念讲演が行われました。
惭滨厂滨础さんは讲演の中で「アフリカで出会った子どもたちの顽张りを知るほどに、教育は未来を変える希望だったと実感しています」と学生や教职员约300人に语りかけました。
自身についても「长崎で毎年8月9日に受けた平和教育から学んだことにも大きな影响を受け、今でも戦争と平和の问题について考えることができています。そしてアフリカを访れて贫困问题、环境问题、纷争问题がつながり合っていることを実感するようになり、自然と私の生活や人生での行动、歌のメッセージにもつながっています」と振り返りました。
私も常々、一人一人が持っている力を引き出すサポートをするのが教育であると思っています。惭滨厂滨础さんの息の长い支援活动を知って、改めて教育の原点とは何かを见る思いがしました。広岛大学のルーツは1874年に创设された教育の白岛学校（広岛师范学校の前身）で、広岛大学は2024年に前史を含めて创立150周年を迎えます。また骋7も広岛で2023年5月に开催されます。これを契机に大学は一层発展し、日本の教育を担っていけるよう、最大限の努力を行ってまいります。
Every year, 麻豆AV presents the Pestalozzi Prize for Education to individuals and organizations engaged in outstanding educational activities.
Pestalozzi was an 18th century Swiss educator and thinker who worked closely with orphans and poor children by living with them. In 1992, HU established the Education Prize in Pestalozzi’s name, in order to attract public attention to outstanding educational practices in the spirit of Pestalozzi and to provide an opportunity to reconsider what contemporary education is all about. Previous winners at HU include Mariko Miyagi, Yoji Yamada, Tetsuko Kuroyanagi and Kazuko Watanabe.
2022 marks the 30th anniversary of this award, the recipient of which was the well-known Japanese singer MISIA, who sang the national anthem at the opening ceremony of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (held in 2021). For the past 15 years, since her first visit to Kenya in 2007, the singer has been supporting children who attend schools in slums and refugee camps in seven African countries, by providing them with educational materials and school fees. This is exactly the kind of practice that epitomizes the nature of this award.
On 31 August, the HU Satake Memorial Hall award ceremony and the Tokyo commemorative lecture were live-streamed jointly online.
During her speech, MISIA talked to about 300 students and faculty/administrative members, saying: “the more I find out about the efforts of the children I met in Africa, the more I realize that education embodies the requisite hope to change their future”.
She also talked about herself, saying: “I was greatly influenced by what I learnt from the peace education I received every year on 9 August in Nagasaki. I still think about issues of war and peace daily. Following my visit to Africa, I came to realize that issues on poverty, the environment and conflict are all interconnected. Naturally, such realization has affected my lifestyle and the kind of actions I take in my life, as well the messages in my songs”, she recalled.
I have always believed that education is about helping each individual to draw out the strengths they possess. Learning about MISIA’s long-lasting support activities in Africa has made me see once again what the starting point of education is. Historically, HU has always put a lot of effort into education, as it has its roots in the Hakushima School (the predecessor of Hiroshima Normal School) founded in 1874. HU will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2024 if we include the prehistory of its predecessor schools. Also, the G7 will be held in Hiroshima in May 2023. We will do our utmost to take advantage of this opportunity to further develop the university and to play a leading role in Japanese education.
