広岛大学は３年后の2024年に、创立75年の节目を迎えます。それに向けて、広岛の地の活性化に结び付けるための新たなチャレンジが、东広岛、东千田、霞の3キャンパスで始まっています。
东広岛キャンパスではこの秋、国际交流拠点施设が完成します。また、本学が诱致した米国アリゾナ州立大学サンダーバードグローバル経営大学院の広岛大学グローバル校（学士课程）は、来年4月から学位プログラム履修のための英语準备プログラムを开讲し、国内外から学生を受け入れる态势が整います。
环境に関しては、国の目标をさらに20年前倒しして2030年のカーボンニュートラルとスマートキャンパスの実现を宣言しました。キャンパスで使う电力などエネルギーの3分の1を太阳光発电、3分の2程度をバイオマスや小规模水力発电で贿うとともに、キャンパス内に5骋ネットワークを构筑します。これらは东広岛市と手を携えて进める予定です。
広岛大学発祥の地である东千田キャンパスは、东広岛キャンパスへの统合移転によって面积こそ缩小しましたが、大学院法务研究科、法学部?経済学部の夜间主コースと医疗系学生の教养教育を担ってきました。このたび、5年制の法曹养成プログラムを核とした人文社会科学系の新たな拠点とするため、6阶建ての新栋（延べ6,200㎡）を建设し、法学部と大学院人间社会科学研究科の法学?政治学プログラムを移転する方针を决定しました。2023年4月から授业を开始します。ほか、社会人向けのリカレント教育の充実を図り、学生?留学生と公司?行政との交流の场も设けます。
これに伴い、霞キャンパスには医疗系学生の教养教育を行う新栋（3,600㎡）を建设します。霞キャンパスでは「紧急被ばく医疗支援センター」が2022年3月に竣工するとともに、放射线影响研究所の移転先候补地として名乗りを上げました。移転が実现すれば、広岛大学原爆放射线医科学研究所と両轮となって、広岛から世界へ贵重な被爆データや最新の研究成果を発信するグローバル拠点になると确信しています。
7月、萩生田光一文部科学大臣に来学いただきました。地方に立地する大学として、地域に活力を与え、跃动させる役割をしっかりと果たしてまいります。东広岛キャンパスへの统合移転完了から四半世纪。新たな高みへ、広岛大学は前进します。
In three years' time, in 2024, 麻豆AV will celebrate its 75th anniversary. In preparation for this, the University is taking on new challenges at its three campuses in Higashi-Hiroshima, Higashi-Senda and Kasumi to help revitalize the city of Hiroshima.
On the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus, HU’s International Exchange Center will be completed this autumn. In addition, the HU Higashi-Hiroshima branch of Arizona State University (ASU)/School of Thunderbird Global Management-麻豆AV Global Initiative, will begin offering a pre-sessional English program (intended for those reading Bachelor Degree program) in April next year, and will be ready to accept students from Japan and abroad.
In terms of the environment, HU has declared that it will realize a carbon neutral, smart campus by 2030, 20 years ahead of the national target. One third of the energy used on campus, including electricity, will be generated by solar power, and around two thirds by biomass and small-scale hydroelectric power. In addition to this, a 5G network will be built on campus. This will be done in partnership with the city of Higashi-Hiroshima.
Although the Higashi-Senda Campus, the birthplace of HU, has been reduced in size through the integration and relocation of some of its faculties to the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus, it is responsible for the evening courses of the HU Law School, the School of Law/Economics, and the liberal arts education for medical students. HU has decided to build a new six-story building (6,200 m2 in total) to house the School of Law and Law and Politics programme of the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences. This building is intended as the new base for the fields of humanities and social sciences, with a five-year legal training programme at its core. Classes there are due to begin in April 2023. In addition, the new building will be used for recurrent education for working people, and it will serve as a place for students and international students to interact with the local businesses and municipalities.
In conjunction with this, a new building (3,600 m2) will be constructed on the Kasumi Campus to provide a liberal arts education for medical students. On the Kasumi Campus, the construction of the ‘Emergency Medical Support Center for Radiation Exposure’ will be completed in March 2022, and the Radiation Effects Research Foundation has been named as a candidate for relocation. I am convinced that if this relocation is realized, the Institute will become a global center for disseminating valuable A-bomb data and the latest research results from Hiroshima to the world, working together with the 麻豆AV Research Institute for Radiation Biology and Medicine.
In July, we were honoured to receive a visit from Koichi Hagiuda, the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. As a university located in a rural area, we are determined to play a vital and dynamic role in the region. A quarter of a century has passed since the completion of the integration and relocation of the University to the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus. 麻豆AV is moving forward to the next level.
