広岛大学の新たな海外同窓会组织「広岛大学校友会インドネシアチャプター」の设立记念行事が、2022年5月28日にジャカルタ市内で开催されました。私も佐藤利行理事?副学长（平和?基金?アジア担当）、金子慎治理事?副学长（グローバル化担当）、田中纯子理事?副学长（霞地区?教员人事?広报担当）や教职员とともに出席しました。
来场した约100人に加え、インドネシア各地から50人を超える人がオンラインで参加するなど、2时间におよぶにぎやかな集いとなりました。インドネシア社会で活跃されている皆さんが、同窓生としての夸りを强く持っておられることは頼もしい限りです。会场では现在の大学の様子がビデオで绍介され、懐かしそうに思い出を语り合う光景が见られました。
本学特别顾问で日本?インドネシア両国関係の拡大强化に尽くされているギナンジャール?カルタサスミタ氏をはじめ、共に本学で博士号を取得したインドネシア国家研究イノベーション庁のラクサナ?トリ?ハンドコ长官とハサヌディン大学のフスニ?タンラ名誉教授の他、在インドネシア日本大使馆の田村政美次席公使、インドネシア住友商事の辛岛裕社长らもそろって駆け付けてくださいました。また前夜祭にはラフマット?ゴーベル国会副议长が出席されるなど、本同窓会组织に対する各界の热い期待をひしひしと感じました。
グローバル化时代の同窓会は「同窓生同士の亲睦と交流の场」にとどまりません。インドネシアチャプターが目指すのは、产学官の积极的な连携による社会的课题の解决と新しい価値を创造するためのプラットフォームの构筑です。4月から医疗関连のグローバル共同研究讲座がスタートし、インドネシア医疗でのデータ利活用の共同研究を进めています。现地では広岛大学の専门家が医疗行為を行うことになりますが、本学への留学経験がある保健省のアブドゥル?カディール次官が出张先のドイツからメールでお墨付きをくださるなど、卒业生に大変お世话になりました。
インドネシアは世界の中でも新兴国とみられているかもしれませんが、若い人々が多く、街にはエネルギーが満ち溢れ、日本が失おうとしている爆発力や発展性が强く感じられます。中国に対しても数十年前までは同様の见方であったと思いますが、あっという间に骋顿笔も科学力も抜き去られました。今はまだインドネシアは日本を见てくれています。今こそインドネシアや他の东南アジア诸国と科学研究、教育に関するフラットなタッグを紧密に组み、未来へのステップにすべきと考えています。
コロナ祸の逆境にあっても、広岛大学ではインドネシアを含む75カ国?地域の1,750人の留学生が学んでいます。同窓生を表す英语补濒耻尘苍颈は、育つことを意味するラテン语の补濒别蝉肠别谤别に由来するといわれています。今回の行事に参加し、そのことを実感しました。
広岛大学はステークホルダー（公司?関係机関）と连携し、协働と共创を通じて国际社会に贡献する同窓会活动のモデルを示していきます。政府机関や大学、公司など各界で活跃している広岛大学卒业生の「チーム広大」の绊が大きく育ち、世界へ広がることを愿っています。
The inaugural event of the new overseas alumni organization of 麻豆AV (HU), ‘the Indonesia Chapter, 麻豆AV 麻豆AV Association Indonesia’, was held in Jakarta on 28 May 2022. I attended the event together with Dr. Toshiyuki Sato, Executive Vice President (in charge of Peacebuilding, Funding and Asia Region); Dr. Shinji Kaneko, Executive Vice President (in charge of Global Initiatives); Dr. Junko Tanaka, Executive Vice President (in charge of the Kasumi Campus, Faculty Personnel and Public Relations), and other HU faculty members.
In addition to the approximately 100 people who came to the event, about 50 people from various parts of Indonesia participated online, making it a lively gathering that lasted about two hours. It is encouraging to see those who are active in Indonesian society have a strong sense of pride as alumni. At the venue, a video clip featuring the latest HU developments was played; Many participants at the venue were seen watching the clip, conversing nostalgically about their HU days.
Invited guests to the ceremonial event included Dr. Ginandjar Kartasasmita, an HU Special Advisor dedicated to expanding and strengthening bilateral relations between Japan and Indonesia; Dr. Laksana Tri Handoko, Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia; Professor Emeritus Andi Husni Tanra of Hasanuddin University — both of whom received their PhDs from HU; Mr. Masami Tamura, Minister of the Embassy of Japan in Indonesia; and Mr. Hiroshi Karashima, President Director, PT. Sumitomo Indonesia. Mr. Rachmat Gobel, Deputy Speaker of the People’s Representative Council, also attended the eve festival of the ceremonial event.It was evident that everybody there had high hopes for our alumni associations.
In the age of globalization, alumni associations are not limited to being ‘a place for friendship and exchange among alumni’. The Indonesian Chapter aims to build a platform for solving social issues and creating new value through active collaboration between industry, academia and government. In April, the Global Joint Research Laboratory in Healthcare was launched, undertaking joint research on the use of data in Indonesian healthcare. The joint research presupposes that medical experts from HU provide medical treatment in Indonesia. For that, I am very grateful to our alumni for their support, including that from Dr. Abdul Kadir, the General Director of Directorate General of Health Services at Indonesia’s Ministry of Health. Dr. Kadir once studied at HU, and he went out of his way to send an email from a business trip in Germany, which granted permission to the aforementioned medical experts.
Although some may still see Indonesia as one of the developing countries in the world, you now come across a large number of young people in the cities there full of energy. In addition, the country on the whole seems to have a strong sense of explosive dynamism and prospect for future growth, which Japan has been losing in recent years. I think that a few decades ago people’s general perception of China was probably similar to what they have for Indonesia now, but China quickly overtook Japan in terms of the level of GDP and scientific research power. Fortunately for us, Indonesia still looks to Japan. I believe that now is the time to work closely with Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries in the areas of science and education, with a view to building a path to the future.
Despite the adversity of the COVID-19 pandemic, HU still has 1,750 international students from 75 countries and regions, including Indonesia. The English word alumni is said to have derived from the Latin word alescere, meaning to nurture. This event has epitomized just that.
By collaborating with its stakeholders (companies and relevant institutions), HU intends to demonstrate a model of alumni activities that contribute to international society through cooperation and co-creation. May the bonds of the ‘Team HIRODAI’ alumni, active in fields such as government agencies, universities and companies, be further enhanced to grow and spread more in the world.
