Nomura laboratory has started as of April 1, 2019. Genome editing is a novel technology with possibility of application in many fields including medicine, drug discovery, and animal/plant breeding. We tackle to develop a novel technology in the field to obtain further knowledge in future. Gene regulation is one of the applicable topics derived from development of genome editing technology. Recently, we have developed a method to regulation orthogonal genes in a single cell (Nomura W, et al. Biochemistry 2019). We also focus on the method to suppress off-target effects for precise genome editing.
