Empty legs of private jet

According to statistics, about 60% of private jet flights turn out to be without any passengers on board, and jets usually drop one client in point A and pick up the next one in point B. The distance from point A to point B could be a short hope like from Madrid to Valencia but it can also be a larger one like New York to Los Angeles for example. These kinds of flightswith no passengers on board are called Empty Legs.

Usually these kinds of flights are not offered by your local charter company, fixed hourly programs and 25 hourly cards. But if we are going to look at it from another perspective – in this caseour Company does indeed offer empty legs when available to their clients at a point to point cost and sometimes at even lower costs. On average, empty legs are common when the flights occur between coasts, such as Los Angeles to New York and vice versa or New York to Miami and vice versa.

Please do not confuse empty legs with one ways that are offered by 25 hour jet cards or fixed hourly programs. Such programs state that they offer true one way pricing but the reality is not even close to it. For example, a price can go as high as $11,800 or $12,800 per flight from NY to FL with a 25 hour card program, and with empty leg it can cost about $8,500.
